After decades in the trucking industry, we at D&D Transportation understand that our drivers require our unwavering support to do their jobs effectively.
In weeks past, we’ve discussed the importance of technology and benefits for our drivers, but we also believe that providing ongoing support is crucial to their happiness and long-term success. This week, we’re sharing information about the support drivers can expect when working with D&D Transportation.
Here are just a few of the many ways we support our drivers:
One-on-one communication. At D&D Transportation, we believe in keeping the lines of communication open, so we do our best to talk with our drivers daily. This isn’t always easy, as we have 20:1 ratio of drivers to support team members, but we see the importance of providing truckers with opportunities to air grievances, offer suggestions, and share insights.
Family environment. We believe drivers are the backbone of our industry, therefore they — and their families — deserve our utmost respect. We are also a family-owned and operated company so, we’re know the importance of giving our drivers ample time off in order to spend quality time with their families, especially around the holidays.
Culture. Our approach is one that puts people first, and we are continually striving to promote a culture of caring and understanding amongst our team. We believe in fairness, transparency, inclusivity, and loyalty. Volunteerism is also encouraged, as we are a community-minded company that looks for opportunities to help others.
Drivers, we want to hear from you. What’s the best kind of support you can receive? Do you appreciate communication, family time, or is a supportive company culture most important to you?
